We are now looking for a psychologist to join us at the general psychiatric outpatient clinic at Karlskoga Hospital. We have a colleague who will retire in the spring, and we are now looking for a new colleague interested in a shared position as a consulting psychologist for the health centers in the western part of the county as well as regular outpatient work, could that be you?

We are a team and a unit with great commitment, a lot of knowledge, and experience. The psychology group currently consists of six psychologists and one PTP psychologist with a good mix of competence and background. Together with other professional groups within the unit, we collaborate to provide the best possible care in the field of general psychiatry. The general psychiatry outpatient care is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy as well as planned and acute visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work, as are mobile interventions and patient and family education. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in the care. Psychologist for General Psychiatric Outpatient Care

Job Responsibilities

Shared assignment as a consulting psychologist for the health center and outpatient work. The consultative work may involve staff at the health centers raising patient cases for the consultant, who then makes assessments that lead to treatment proposals or other action proposals. At the clinic, tasks include assessments, diagnostic and neuropsychological investigations, individual treatment interventions, and the opportunity to lead group therapies. Depending on your competence, there are also opportunities to participate in development work and method development. We see the breadth of perspectives as a strength, as we have both CBT and psychodynamic competence within the psychology group.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, preferably with a few years of experience in psychiatry. In-depth knowledge/specialization in and interest in diagnostic/neuropsychological investigation is an advantage. A B driver's license is required.
