About the position

As a nurse at Adrianska huset, you will play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our tenants. You will be responsible for the care of a number of tenants and work in collaboration with your nursing colleagues, occupational therapist, nursing staff, and unit manager. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region.

To create good and safe care, we work preventively in teams with nurses, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and unit managers. We always work with response strategies first and thus can avoid much medication treatment. For us, it is important to start from a person-centered and rehabilitative approach, focusing on our tenants' wishes and needs.

• decide, implement, and follow up on care measures
• be responsible for guidance and training in nursing
• instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to nursing staff

About the workplace

Adrianska huset is a specialist housing for cognitive impairment. We have two departments for people with BPSD symptoms, one department for people with frontotemporal dementia, one department for acquired dementia, and a short-term and respite care department. We have 48 accommodation places distributed over six different groups. About 70 employees work here, and we also have our own kitchen with two chefs on site.

As a nurse with us, you will be primarily placed at Adrianska huset but belong to the Väster 1 area in the new healthcare organization. Väster 1 includes Adrianska huset, Löwenhjelmska huset, and Elgströmska huset. This creates a larger network and opportunities for continuous competence exchange.

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercise in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information gets through. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• licensed nurse
• driver's license, manual transmission

Meritorious:

• experience working as a nurse
• experience working in geriatrics
• specialist education such as district nurse, geriatrics, or psychiatry
