Join the eye care team in Örebro County!

We are looking for you who are an ophthalmic nurse or a registered nurse with experience for an exciting assignment at the Eye Clinic in Karlskoga. You will work independently and become an important part of an already established team consisting of ophthalmic nurses, MVA, and assistants. With us, an exciting job awaits with a lot of technology and patient contact.

The Eye Department is one of Sweden's five largest eye care services. In total, we have just over 130 employees within the department located at our three hospitals in the county. Since April 1st, we have a county assignment for specialized eye care.

The Karlskoga Eye Clinic is one of the smaller units staffed with ophthalmic nurses and administrative personnel. Here, visits and assessments are primarily conducted within the patient groups of glaucoma and diabetes.

Karlskoga Hospital is one of Örebro County's three emergency hospitals. We who work at Karlskoga Hospital are proud of our hospital. The hospital has both clinics and outpatient services that are part of the Close Care Area as well as clinics that are cross-functional, meaning services that exist at all three hospitals in the county.

The work at the clinic consists of various independent measurements and examinations, such as vision checks, visual field tests, pressure measurements, and fundus photography. We also provide telephone advice for eye care patients. As a nurse with us, you will make many independent assessments. Rounds are conducted regularly with doctors at USÖ. The work is adapted to your experience and educational background. Some work may take place at the Eye Clinic at USÖ, as well as some training.

Licensed nurse or licensed nurse with further education in ophthalmology. Experience in similar tasks is an advantage.
