Welcome to E.ON
– where we drive real change for climate transition. We take responsibility for a better future through stable and fossil-free energy solutions for people, cities, and industries. We are innovative and brave, while also being empathetic and reliable. If you are passionate and believe in the power of working together, then E.ON is the place for you.
About us
The Sustainability Team within the Energy Distribution area is responsible for driving the sustainability agenda across the entire business area. Our team is tasked with taking a holistic approach to sustainability issues and ensuring that we translate ambitions and strategies into concrete actions.
We work both strategically and operationally by analyzing trends and impulses from the outside world and the group, creating direction and goals, and supporting the business in the changes required. To succeed, we need to work cross-functionally, collaborate with our experts and core teams, and ensure that the entire organization has the right tools to contribute to our sustainability goals.
About the role
In this role, you will combine deep analytical ability with strategic understanding to provide the organization with important insights and improve our working methods. As part of the sustainability team within the energy distribution business area, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine processes for climate and sustainability data, drive efficiencies, and contribute to the implementation of new digital tools.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and improve the management of climate and sustainability data, including participating in the implementation of a new digital platform.
- Be responsible for climate calculations in existing Excel tools and gradually contribute to automated solutions.
- Establish and improve processes for data collection and methodology, both internally and with suppliers.
- Support the business in climate-related issues, for example by breaking down climate goals to unit and team levels.
- Perform quarterly and monthly reporting of CO2 indicators.
- Contribute analysis and insights to refine and accelerate E.ON's sustainability work.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone who analyzes complex data sets and translates them into strategic insights. Working systematically with large data sets while driving the development of sustainability processes is a natural part of your work style. With a solution-oriented mindset, you identify opportunities for efficiency and development, particularly in the digitalization of climate and sustainability data. You build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure high data quality and a smooth collection process. In a changing environment, you navigate between strategic goals and operational challenges and actively contribute to creating sustainable and long-term solutions.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- A university degree in economics, engineering, environmental science, or another relevant field.
- Experience working with climate calculations and related standards.
- Analytical skills and experience in handling large data sets.
- Experience working in Excel and preferably other digital analysis tools.
What is it like to work with us?
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you will thrive.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure that you feel well and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include working hours reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
