Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

Working as an assistant in the Unit for Teaching Support means that you are part of the work done around support, assistance, and training in the digital tools used at Lund University, aimed at both staff and students. This includes staffing support and providing advice and assistance to users, as well as conducting training in digital tools such as Canvas, Zoom, etc. Additionally, the work involves keeping guides and other information for users updated. You will work together with other students and the staff in the unit. You will receive training in relevant tools and gradually be introduced to the tasks by your colleagues; no prior knowledge is required.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

  • You must be an active student at Lund University. You should be on track with your studies. The reason for this is that we are eager for you to be able to perform the work without it interfering with your studies.
  • You must have excellent proficiency in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms, as the work largely consists of communicating via email, but also via Zoom, personal meetings, and in exceptional cases, phone.
  • You should have good analytical skills and a sense of service, be quality-conscious, and be able to communicate clearly and pedagogically. This is due to both the support activities that the work entails and also because part of the work involves drafting texts for guides and articles.
  • The work requires that you are independent and have the ability to plan, as you should be able to manage the varied workload effectively. At the same time, you must be a flexible team player with good collaboration skills and a sense of responsibility – you who get this position will have significant responsibility along with the team to ensure that the division of labor and communication with users functions well.
