ABOUT THE POSITION

As a mechanical engineer with our client in Ludvika, you will be a key person in the development and improvement of their high voltage direct current systems. You will have the opportunity to work with the entire lifecycle of our client's facilities and transmission links, from design and maintenance to verification and documentation.

You will work on upgrade projects where the electromechanical part is the focus. You will not be building or designing from scratch, but you need to have a basic understanding of electrical engineering. In this role, you will work closely with production to ensure that the design can be implemented efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

• Design, maintain, and integrate mechanical systems for facilities
• Conduct technical analyses and reports and document all functions for safe and reliable operation
• Coordinate activities internally and with other groups to achieve project goals
• Work with design tools such as NX, Teamcenter, and cost calculations for plant design, as well as use 3D dimensional tools to perform calculations and plan material requirements for installations
• Ensure that tasks are performed according to applicable requirements, laws, and regulations, and contribute to increasing customer satisfaction.
• Perform foundation calculations and create specifications for projects
• Contribute your own ideas and expertise, while having the opportunity to receive support and guidance from senior colleagues

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has work experience from a similar role that our client considers relevant
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has experience with design tools such as NX and Teamcenter
• Has basic electrical knowledge, either acquired through education or work
