Property Manager Wanted for Falu Parish

In the World Heritage city of Falun, there is almost everything.

Beautiful nature, a historic mine, a rich musical life, great opportunities for outdoor activities, countryside, and a vibrant city center. In Falu parish, which is part of Falu municipality, there is even more. Five congregations, engaged parishioners, 70 friendly employees, a good economy, beautiful churches, cemeteries, and parish facilities. Worship services are held both on weekends and weekdays. Here, children, youth, and adults meet for various community gatherings and discussions about faith and life.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced property manager who can combine strategic planning with technical expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for both long-term property development and the daily operations of our properties. You will be part of the parish's staff.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement strategic care and maintenance plans for the parish's properties. This includes creating financial plans for renovations and investments as well as ensuring that the local supply plan is updated and followed.
  • Be a management support in property matters and participate in decision-making processes and prepare decision support documents.
  • Lead and follow up on maintenance and investment projects, ensuring they stay within budget and timelines. Maintain contact with contractors.
  • Coordinate the operation and maintenance of the property's technical systems, including electricity, heating, ventilation, and water.
  • Be responsible for property inspections as well as fire and alarm issues.
  • Establish, monitor, and keep track of contracts and insurance in the area.
  • Optimize energy use and ensure energy efficiency. Investigate possible energy sources such as solar panels.

Qualifications

  • University education in property management, construction technology, or similar fields with a strategic perspective.
  • Experience in property management, local supply, and experience working with optimized space utilization.
  • Technical expertise in property technology and experience in the operation and maintenance of technical systems.
  • Good collaboration skills with managers, controllers, and property caretakers. You also have good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and achieve set goals.
  • Competence in and commitment to sustainability issues.
  • Experience working with cultural heritage buildings is an advantage.
  • To travel between our buildings in the parish, you need a B driver's license and access to your own car.
