We at the general psychiatric outpatient clinic in Hallsberg are looking for an occupational therapist to join our team. Currently, we have one occupational therapist but need to strengthen our team with an additional resource. Is this you?
The general psychiatric outpatient clinic in Hallsberg is tasked with assessing, investigating, treating, and rehabilitating patients in need of specialist psychiatric interventions. We are located in the same premises as primary care in Hallsberg. The catchment area includes Hallsberg, Kumla, and Askersund, with a total of approximately 48,000 inhabitants. We are a unit with great commitment, extensive knowledge, and experience. The clinic consists of about 28 employees; doctors, psychologists, caregivers, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, psychotherapists, medical administrative staff, clinic assistants, care coordinators, and unit managers.
At the clinic, various treatment methods are offered, and we provide interventions both individually and in groups. We are divided into interdisciplinary treatment teams and work evidence-based in accordance with national guidelines. The breadth of work makes the days varied and eventful. We constantly drive development issues to offer our patients a good reception and effective, patient-safe care. This means that as an employee, you are expected to take an active part in that work. Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities within the General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic include independently assessing and determining the need for occupational therapy for preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and habilitative purposes. Testing and training of cognitive aids.
Treatment contact may occur individually with the patient or through group intervention. We meet the patient both at the clinic and sometimes digitally. We aim to strengthen the patient's own resources to enable as independent a life as possible. Another important task is collaboration with care neighbors, other operations, and cooperation with various authorities such as the Social Insurance Agency and the Employment Agency.
In the General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, teamwork is applied with the possibility of consulting other professional groups, and as an occupational therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team together with other professional categories such as doctors, psychologists, nurses, caregivers, and social workers.

As we in Psychiatry care about our patients and value patient safety highly, we will request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records register from the National Police Board in connection with the recruitment. Qualifications
Licensed occupational therapist. As a person, you need to have a good ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others. You should be structured in your work and have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We would like you to have a B driver's license as home visits may occur. It is advantageous to have training and experience working with assessment instruments.
