About the Role

As a Senior Technician, you will ensure that we have the right machinery and infrastructure for the future by driving and implementing both improvement and investment projects. Here, you will work in a production facility with a high degree of automation and hot water processes. In close dialogue with the production team and the CEO, you will be responsible for developing investment plans and play a central role in creating investments based on Diab's strategy and goals. The role also involves managing the procurement of equipment, developing component specifications, and conducting mechanical testing of new equipment. As a Senior Technician at Diab, your main tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive and lead technical improvement and investment projects from idea to commissioning. Manage internal and external resources and be responsible for the project budget.
  • Through technical analyses, provide documentation for mechanical design and automation solutions, as well as design for hot water systems to improve existing equipment or implement new features.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop strategies to minimize their impact. Review proposals from external specialists and, with the help of operational insights and cost analyses, understand Diab's needs and ensure that we make profitable investments.
  • Coordinate and lead a cross-functional project team by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring that the project follows the overall plan. Act as a communication link between various stakeholders, team members, and other involved parties.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is an experienced Technician in the process and manufacturing industry with a broad knowledge encompassing technology, mechanics, electrical, and control systems. You have experience in project management, including cost analyses within larger projects that cover the entire chain from idea to implementation.

Requirements

  • University or college degree in engineering with a technical focus or technical education at the college level in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with the development of mechanical processes and systems.
  • Experience in project management in a complex technical environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and CAD software.
  • Proficiency in both Swedish and English, including verbal and written skills.
  • Experience in purchasing machinery and production lines, as well as custom construction of technical facilities.
  • Experience in development and improvement work.
  • Structured, cost-conscious, and communicative.

You possess good communication skills and are direct and honest while being receptive to others' ideas. You are skilled at networking and can build strong relationships with stakeholders to agree on approaches, priorities, and ensure alignment. You have the ability to contribute to your colleagues' development and help the team perform without ego, aiming for the best possible results.

You must not be asthmatic or allergic to plastic components. Before employment, a medical examination for allergenic substances will be arranged as the work requires a valid Fitness for Duty certificate before commencement.

The position corresponds to 100% with working hours scheduled during the day. The position is located in Laholm and you will report directly to the CEO, Anders Svensson.
