About the role as an electrical designer

As an electrical designer, you will work for one of Sweden's leading engineering consulting companies. Your tasks will primarily be directed towards nuclear power operations and electrical design. This means everything from design for renovations, maintenance work, and decommissioning, to gathering drawings and preparing documentation. The job as an electrical designer also involves creating new solutions and being on-site to see how the drawings match reality. All work is done in project form where you receive support from your colleagues and are never left alone. The projects you will work on may vary in length and scope. There is an opportunity to participate in all different stages of the project, from feasibility study through design to commissioning and handover.

The department you will belong to consists of over 100 people and has mixed roles within project management, detailed design, automation, and quality. Your closest team consists of about 10 people where you work together on projects, a mix of junior and senior colleagues. You will work in various CAD tools, usually El-master. With technical interest and patience, you can work your way up to become a detailed design leader, technical project manager, or system designer over time. Most of the work takes place at the client's site, 40 minutes commuting from Gothenburg and 25 minutes from Varberg. You will work together with your AFRY colleagues, and there may be opportunities to work at the AFRY office.

The Talent Program

The future talent program with AFRY aims to give you, as a recent graduate, a good start to your career at AFRY. The program will last for one year, during which you will have the opportunity to combine your exciting consulting assignments with training. All to help you grow as a person and develop your technical skills. You will go through the program together with people from other locations and thus be able to build an internal network with people in the same phase.

You will have the opportunity to develop both your hard skills (e.g., technical knowledge) and soft skills (e.g., self-leadership). The program will also include joint activities and digital coffee breaks with other participants, as well as opportunities to exchange experiences with more senior colleagues within the company.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant YH/university/civil engineering degree including electrical design. You are an analytical, proactive, and responsible person with the desire to plan and drive assignments forward. You are happy to share your knowledge while enjoying learning from others.

Requirements

• Upcoming or completed degree in electrical engineering or power engineering. YH, university, or civil.
• CAD skills in electrical design
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Previous work experience in electrical engineering, for example, as an industrial electrician
• Knowledge of El-Master, Power Concept, and El-Vis
• Knowledge of Eplan
