Company Sergeant Major at the Mechanics School of FMTS

The Swedish Armed Forces is in a growth phase. New units are being established and the number of conscripts is steadily increasing each year. Because of this, we need more personnel at FMTS and are therefore looking for a Company Sergeant Major for our growing Mechanics School.

Main Responsibilities:

The Mechanics School at FMTS Halmstad is focused on conscripts during basic training. The main tasks of the Mechanics School are FSU (continued soldier training), technical education, and responsibility for the conscripts as a whole during their position training. The rest of the time during the training year, competence development is carried out in the form of courses or participation in exercise series. The Mechanics School will grow both in the number of conscripts, employees, training lines, etc.

Company Sergeant Major:

• Responsible for mentoring and developing younger colleagues.
• Training responsible and responsible for follow-up of internal and external training.
• Participates in the company command staff work.
• Plans, leads, and follows up exercises in the company.
• Collaborates with and supports directly subordinate leaders with their needs.

Qualifications:

• Officer's degree, at least OR7.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious

• Very good ability to mentor and develop younger colleagues.
• Relevant education in leadership.
• Previous experience as an instructor at platoon or company level.
• Relevant education in technical service.
• Military driver's license.

FMTS, with its main location in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center.
