The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, based in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's activities rest on four pillars – development, education, workshop, and war unit production. For the Armed Forces' units to operate, they need functioning equipment, and for that, FMTS plays an important role.

FMTS has a functional responsibility for the technical service within the Armed Forces, which includes following technological development to anticipate future needs as well as proposing changes and improvements.

There are exciting development opportunities for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical service across all branches of defense. In addition, soldiers are trained in logistics.

FMTS operates throughout Sweden, from Revingehed in the south to Boden in the north. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both in large and small ways, both at home and around the world.

In the Armed Forces, there is a strong value foundation based on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good conditions for internal career mobility, wellness, and a good balance between work and private life.

The Armed Forces take advantage of the qualities that diversity and equal gender distribution bring to the organization. We therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences in our recruitment. An employment with us entails placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. With employment comes an obligation to be placed in wartime. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the extent of this varies depending on the type of position.

With the application for employment, a CV and personal letter must be attached. If you proceed in the hiring process, certified copies of diplomas and certificates must always be presented.
