Company Sergeant Major for the Mechanics School at FMTS

The Swedish Armed Forces is in a growth phase. New units are being established and the number of conscripts is steadily increasing each year. Because of this, we need more personnel at FMTS, and we are therefore looking for a Company Sergeant Major for our growing Mechanics School.

Main Responsibilities:

The Mechanics School at FMTS Halmstad is focused on conscripts during basic training. The main tasks of the Mechanics School are FSU (continued soldier training), technical education, and responsibility for the conscripts as a whole during their position training. During the rest of the training year, competency development is conducted in the form of courses or participation in exercise series. The Mechanics School will grow in terms of the number of conscripts, employees, training lines, etc.

Company Sergeant Major:

• Responsible for mentoring and developing younger colleagues.
• Training responsible and responsible for follow-up of internal and external training.
• Participates in the company leadership's staff work.
• Plans, leads, and follows up exercises at the company.
• Collaborates with and supports directly subordinate leaders with their needs.

Qualifications:

• Officer's degree, at least OR7.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious

• Very good ability to mentor and develop younger colleagues.
• Relevant education in leadership.
• Previous experience as an instructor at platoon or company level.
• Relevant education in technical service.
• Military driving license.

The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, with its main location in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's activities rest on four pillars - development, education, workshop and war unit production.
