Specialist Physician in General Medicine at Bjurholm Health Center
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensure that research and innovation yield results.
Region Västerbotten conducts extensive primary care services throughout Västerbotten County and meets patients of all ages, both in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and medical clinics, we are where you are. We actively work with research and development and utilize medical results to offer high-quality care where the patient is involved. We want our employees to be engaged, have influence, and feel proud to work in primary care. Important areas of development for us are needs-based healthcare offerings and the development of digital services. We see great value in collaboration with other actors in society.
Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed over four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. Good connections with local and regional transport enable commuting to, from, and between our units.
The health centers have close collaboration within the base unit, creating an exciting and varied assignment for you as a specialist in general medicine!
Bjurholm Health Center has a smaller catchment area consisting of a mixed population. We offer a stimulating work environment at a health center with an open atmosphere and competent staff. Development and improvement work are important and ongoing processes that engage and stimulate us in the workplace. We have low staff turnover and a close-knit team that sees all patients as everyone's patient.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a specialist physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the meeting with the patient throughout life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, as well as independently assessing and treating these. This also includes the experiences and complaints of patients that are not caused by definable diseases. In general medical specialty work, you follow an individual's various health problems over time, and in assessing health issues, you often need to consider the person's entire life situation.
As a specialist physician with us, a flexible working style and the ability to handle varying workloads are required. Additionally, being engaged in and taking responsibility for your work is essential.
You are active in the base unit's medical group and collaborate with other professional groups. The role also includes mentoring students, residents, and interns.
The position is a permanent full-time employment within Region Västerbotten, with at least 30% placement at Bjurholm Health Center. Work may also occur within the employer's other units in Umeå with surrounding areas for the remaining employment rate. Part-time employment opportunities are available.
