Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. Good connections with local and regional transport facilitate commuting to, from, and between our units.

The health centers have a close collaboration within the base unit, creating an exciting and varied assignment for you as a specialist in general medicine!

Vännäs Health Center, beautifully located by the banks of the Umeå River about 30 kilometers from Umeå city, is a brand new and modern facility. At the health center, about forty employees work with approximately 8,000 registered patients. In Vännäs, we work in various teams, conduct active work environment efforts, and have good collaboration with the municipality's various healthcare operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the meeting with the patient throughout life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, as well as independently assessing and treating these. This also includes the experiences and complaints of patients that are not caused by definable diseases. In general medical specialist work, you follow an individual's various health problems over time, and in assessing health issues, you often need to consider the person's entire life situation.

You are active in the base unit's medical group and collaborate with other professional groups. The role also includes supervision of students, ST doctors, and AT doctors.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed specialist doctor in general medicine with experience and/or interest in primary care. Interest in supervising students and training doctors is also important.

You are a present and positive person who, with expertise and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people. You thrive in working in teams as well as independently. You strive, together with your colleagues, to contribute to a positive atmosphere, patient-safe care, and a good work environment.

Attach a valid specialist certificate in General Medicine with your application.
