Are you ready to work in a community-supporting organization?
To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the conditions to live the best life possible, there are the District Veterinarians. With round-the-clock readiness, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
Lycksele is the natural gathering point of Västerbotten's inland. Here, we have a team of 3 veterinarians and 2 animal caretakers. We staff our small animal clinic every day from 8 AM to 5 PM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an animal caretaker with us, you will work inside our small animal clinic. You will share tasks with your colleagues by working clinically to assist the veterinarians, staff the reception, handle phone calls and appointments, as well as provide feeding advice and sales. Other clinic tasks such as hygiene, instrument and facility maintenance, and administrative duties are also included in the daily work. The position involves working at the main clinic in Lycksele but may also include work related to our other clinic in Vilhelmina.
QUALIFICATIONS
We want you to have the ability to work independently but place great importance on teamwork with other colleagues. You should have good judgment, be service-oriented, and not shy away from challenges. The District Veterinarians in Lycksele is an established clinic that works with continuous improvements. We want you to have a desire and willingness to drive the development of the organization forward together with us. We place great importance on good collaboration skills as we take care of our customers and patients together, and computer skills are also a plus. Experience within the District Veterinarians is an advantage. You should have good oral and written skills in both Swedish and English, and a B driver's license is required.
OTHER
We care about our staff. Therefore, we offer all employees within the District Veterinarians the opportunity to take part in various benefits. Some examples are 28-35 days of vacation depending on your age, salary exchange, wellness grants, and occupational health care. For you as a parent, we have good conditions to find a good balance between work and family life, including parental leave supplements and the possibility to reduce your working hours until the child is twelve years old.
We strive for diversity among our employees.
Our working language is Swedish, and our services require you to master Swedish in both spoken and written form.
We normally apply a 6-month probationary period.
In preparation for the recruitment work, the District Veterinarians have taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. Therefore, we do not wish to be contacted by advertisement sellers or recruitment companies.
