Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers have close cooperation within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transport facilitate commuting to, from, and between our units.

We are now looking for a specialist physician in general medicine, who wants to work within our base area, with current needs at Backens Health Center.

The role of a district physician at Backens Health Center offers an exciting and varied assignment for you who are a specialist in general medicine.

We have a clinical teaching reception, and together with the other health centers, we staff the primary care emergency service at Ålidhems Health Center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician in general medicine, also a district physician, with us you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. You play a key role in providing safety and high-quality care throughout the patient's life. This means taking care of and treating a wide range of health problems, even those not caused by definable diseases.

The job responsibilities range from child health care (BVC) to elderly care (special housing and home care). Within your competence, you thus meet people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, where you independently assess and treat these.

You will be an important part of our medical team within the base unit, where collegial cooperation and participation in development work are encouraged. In your role, you will also collaborate with other professional groups, as well as mentor students, ST physicians, and AT physicians.

Rotation within the base unit may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in general medicine. If you have a rural profile, it is an advantage. Furthermore, we seek you with experience of, or interest in, working in a varied and stimulating environment. A genuine interest in mentoring students and training physicians is also important.

You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. Furthermore, we would like you to be flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances, as well as see the value in collegial collaboration. In this position, we would like you to be positive about working at other health centers within the base unit if necessary.
