We are looking for a dietitian assistant for the Primary Care in Eastern Östergötland (NSÖ) for service within our assignments at the medical clinic and geriatric clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping.

From the beginning of 2025, the LAH clinic will belong to the medical clinic and will exist as a distinct section in our joint operations.

At the medical clinic, respiratory diseases, diabetes, endocrine diseases, kidney diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, strokes, and blood diseases are investigated and treated. We also provide advanced home care around the clock for patients with tumor diseases and other chronic conditions that require extensive medical measures.

The geriatric clinic in Norrköping has specialist competence in aging diseases. We have a clinic focused on cognitive diseases and Parkinson's disease (for people over 70 years old), a geriatric acute care unit (GAVA), and a mobile geriatric team, Alma mobile. Involving patients, respecting individual privacy, and ensuring high patient safety are important ingredients in our operations. Within NSÖ, we have three inpatient departments, several specialist clinics, a dialysis unit, and a unit for advanced home care.

Job Description

As a dietitian assistant, you will always work alongside a licensed dietitian. Examples of tasks you will work on include nutritional assessments, calculating energy and nutrient needs, receiving reports from healthcare staff and participating in rounds, taking dietary histories (with guidance from a dietitian), and activating orders for dietary supplements. Administrative tasks and receiving phone calls from patients and staff will also be included. You will have follow-up calls with patients previously met by the dietitian and follow up on patients in the wards.

You will work on-site at Vrinnevisjukhuset and always alongside a licensed dietitian. Your colleague will guide, delegate, and distribute the work. Some tasks performed by the licensed dietitian can be delegated to you.

About You

We are looking for someone who will have completed semester 4 or 5 of the dietetics program by summer. Good Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.

As a person, you are meticulous and structured. Furthermore, you are confident, stable, and have self-awareness. You have good collaboration skills and are responsive and flexible in your way of meeting other people. You contribute to a good work climate and have a positive and professional attitude. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
