Our offer

The Primary Care Center of Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, 4 emergency centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the child health care unit, the vaccination clinic, 1177, and the general medicine training center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout their lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Vårdcentralen Lyckorna is located in Motala and currently has about 16,000 registered patients. The health center includes a medical clinic, specialist nursing clinics, nursing clinics, child health care, psychosocial competence, foot care, and a laboratory. We are also responsible for a number of nursing homes.

Job Description

We are looking for a specialist in general medicine for our medical clinic who values stimulating and independent work in a developing environment. The position includes regular outpatient work within the primary care assignment such as medical consultations, child health care, and consultations with home care and special accommodations. To some extent, the scope and distribution of these assignments can be tailored according to your individual interests. You will participate in emergency services, both in a joint primary care emergency at the emergency center and on-call line. Part of your working hours will be spent mentoring less experienced colleagues such as AT/ST doctors and medical students. This will occur during specifically allocated time in the schedule.

Work Group

We are about 70 employees at the health center who enjoy working together in an open work climate. We have good cooperation with our healthcare neighbors, both within Region Östergötland and within the municipality. We have a development-inspired working method and conduct a broad primary care operation. The medical clinic currently consists of specialist doctors, ST doctors, and junior doctors in training. At the health centers, there are medical clinics, nursing clinics, specialist nursing clinics, nursing assistant clinics, child health care, psychosocial competence, foot care, elderly care clinics, and laboratories.

About You

You are a specialist in general medicine and have previous experience working in primary care. You have a Swedish medical license (attached to the application) and Swedish language skills corresponding to level Swedish C1. As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. You have a valid B driver's license.

As a person, you are self-assured, have good collaboration skills with others in the team, are efficient, and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and enjoy teamwork. You are unpretentious and communicate clearly. We value your ability to meet different people based on their needs. We place great importance on personal qualities.
