Stockfallets School is a growing F-6 school with approximately 400 students.

In January 2024, we moved to a large newly built school with excellent learning environments both indoors and outdoors. The school is located near the forest and has a fantastic schoolyard and outdoor environment that invites activities, play, and creativity.

Our focus is on the child's best interests throughout the day, and we work long-term and goal-oriented based on governing documents and current research. Together, we create a good working environment for learning, safety, and well-being.

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the after-school program and contribute with your knowledge and experience. At Stockfallets School, the after-school programs are age-mixed and integrated into the school's activities. We work in teams, and each team includes licensed teachers and after-school teachers who are responsible for teaching and providing students with the best conditions for developing as far as possible towards the curriculum goals.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school program, you will, both independently and together with colleagues, lead and take responsibility for the pedagogical work in the program based on the curriculum's assignments. With a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments, you will create a meaningful day that also meets the students' needs, interests, and experiences.

You will collaborate and cooperate with classroom teachers and other educators in the team so that students have a positive and meaningful day where knowledge development and social development are in focus. You will drive the development of the after-school program together with colleagues in the team and with the school's other staff.

Qualifications

Licensed teacher with a focus on after-school programs.

We are looking for someone who is a secure and stable adult and who easily creates good relationships with our children, their guardians, and your colleagues. You are positive, curious, learning-oriented, and reflective with good leadership qualities.

You focus on the child's best interests throughout the day and have the ability to meet each child based on their different needs, conditions, and motivations. You can work independently and organize a structured and developing learning environment for the children.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
