Örnässkolan is a K-9 school located centrally in the Örnäset residential area. Currently, about 500 students attend our school, of which 250 are in grades 7-9. Within the catchment area, you will find Furuparkskolan and Tallkronanskolan.

Our school is characterized by diversity, and we who work here stand up for an environment based on safety, respect, tolerance, and the equal value of all people. Through our lead teachers, we have a conscious focus on teaching Swedish, language-developing methods in all subjects, development in sports and health, and in mathematics. We also have an ongoing collaboration project regarding students' well-being. This project involves collaboration with LTU, Sunderbyskolan, and other participating countries such as Spain, Latvia, and Italy.

Influence and equality are important issues for us and something we focus on particularly in collaboration with our students. This is true both in learning situations and in our well-functioning student council. Knowledge in various subjects is made available through the digital platforms that the school's educators are well acquainted with. Digitalization is a tool that can both simplify and inspire learning and is therefore an area we constantly strive to develop. This is done without compromising traditional teaching methods. Our goal is to make knowledge and learning accessible through varied methods for the benefit of all our students, regardless of the individual student's circumstances and abilities.

We take pride in our modern sports hall and the multi-arena that inspires students to spend time and move outdoors. In the surrounding area, there are also excellent opportunities to be in nature. Furthermore, all teaching takes place in our own facilities, which means that students do not need to move outside the area during their school days. The facilities where art education takes place are suitable and include, in addition to a traditional creative environment for artistic expression, opportunities for pottery and firing of works in a kiln.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach students in middle and high school in the subject of art. Collaboration will take place with the principal, the local student health team, and colleagues in both subject teams and work teams. Mentorship is part of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and is qualified to teach the subject of art. No experience is required.

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a person who enjoys collaborating with others. You are creative and have the ability to think outside the box and come up with new ideas. You are structured and can plan and organize your work effectively. We also see that you stay updated in your field to contribute relevant and current knowledge.
