Aircraft Component Technician at Skaraborg Air Force Wing F7
Are you a meticulous technician looking to work in an exciting environment at Skaraborg Air Force Wing F7?
Here you have the opportunity to work in a dedicated and close-knit team. You will belong to the Aircraft Workshop, where we are 80 employees divided into 4 sections. Together we perform technical maintenance on the JAS39 and all its associated equipment.
Main Responsibilities
As an aircraft component technician, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance primarily on components and maintenance equipment for the JAS 39 Gripen system, but also for other flight systems within the Armed Forces.
The position will involve internal training for task/special authorizations within the aircraft component workshop.
As an employee of the Armed Forces, you will participate in an operational organization where ongoing training, military exercises, and physical training are seen as a natural part of everyday life.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed technical education at the high school level and/or equivalent knowledge assessed as comparable by the employer
- Driver's license at least class B (manual)
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

- You have the desire and curiosity to develop within the field of aviation technology

Meritorious
- Experience in technical maintenance and follow-up documentation
- Experience working within the Armed Forces or other public authority
- Knowledge of existing support systems, e.g., PRIO, Fenix & Boris.
- Experience with daily customer contacts

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority. The position is civilian. Full-time employment.
Work location: F 7 Såtenäs. Start date by agreement.

Skaraborg Air Force Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources of transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
