Logistics Coordinator at Valmet in Torslanda, Gothenburg

Valmet is looking for an engaged and service-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Torslanda, Gothenburg! Valmet in Gothenburg works with the delivery of environmentally friendly power and heating boilers for technically demanding fuels, as well as soda boilers and evaporation plants for the pulp and paper industry.

In this role, you will ensure that our materials are delivered on time, safely, and cost-effectively according to agreed guidelines. You will oversee our logistical processes and ensure that the flow of products and materials occurs smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

What will you do?

• Coordinate logistics solutions by collaborating with planners, team leaders, freight forwarders, and preparing shipping documents both nationally and internationally.
• Provide daily guidance to a small group of logistics staff and perform complex logistics processes.
• Ensure that all transport-related activities are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Administrative and physical tasks such as packing and order picking.
• Respond to internal and customer inquiries regarding delivery times and status of shipments, ensuring they are handled promptly and accurately.
• Recommend and implement improvements to our current processes and systems to optimize our logistics operations.
• Support transport negotiations by providing cost and route analyses.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in operational logistics and warehouse management, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. Being solution-oriented and flexible is crucial for success in the role. You should also have knowledge of HSE tasks and responsibilities within your area, as well as being an effective communicator and collaborator. Experience working with IT systems and applications is also important, along with general knowledge of workplace laws and regulations. The ability to coach and develop others is a significant advantage.

Qualifications:

• Vocational training or at least two years of work experience in a similar role.
• Service-oriented and problem-solving focused.
• Good understanding of material and inventory management practices.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
