We are now looking for a mechanical designer for our client in Borås. You will work with product development in 3D for our client who works with various products in the field of conveyors, floors, and hanging conveyors. ABOUT THE POSITION: 

Friday is looking for a senior mechanical designer for our client where you will work with mechanical design in both the quotation stage and full-scale custom order projects.

You will work with a product team where you will create mechanical designs in the quotation stage, developing a concept layout to show customers, product development, but you will also complete the final design of systems once orders have been received. The work is done in Inventor and drawn in 3D format where you have many proprietary tools and modules for the software to facilitate the process.

You need to have a good sense of how to think regarding height, width, and act problem-solving to ensure that the design works in practice. A sorting system takes up a certain space, a conveyor system has specific dimensions, etc.

In summary, you will:

• Create complete designs of customer systems in Inventor.
• Internal development projects.
• Work closely with electrical designers and other teams to incorporate details and ensure that the designs function in practice.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Has relevant technical post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or automation technology at the college or university level.
• Has extensive experience with CAD design as this is used daily.
• Has at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work.
