Physiotherapist for the Rehabilitation Unit

The Rehabilitation Unit is an independent results unit that is part of the Medicine Center (MC).

The unit provides occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and social workers for the clinics within MC. The Rehabilitation Unit aims to offer patients:

• the best possible rehabilitation and psychosocial support
• interventions that provide conditions and support for the patient's own responsibility for their health.

Job Description

We are looking for a physiotherapist who will work at the Infectious Diseases Clinic with a temporary position from June 9 to August 8, 2025, full-time within inpatient care at the University Hospital in Linköping. You will work with standard physiotherapy tasks within inpatient care such as assessing physical ability, instructing exercise programs, mobilization, instructing breathing exercises, and prescribing assistive devices. Some duties at the infectious outpatient clinic may occur. You will have close collaboration with the occupational therapist working on the ward and will collaborate significantly with other healthcare personnel.

Work Group

We collaborate in a team with an occupational therapist colleague but also with other professional categories in the department.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. Previous experience in inpatient care is desirable. Experience in similar activities and/or intensive care work is an advantage. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is important.

You have good collaboration skills and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You base your work on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings. You work effectively under stressful conditions, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations. You can work independently and take responsibility for structuring your workday while being humble and seeking help from colleagues when needed. You enjoy collaborating and teaching/learning from others. You are confident in your profession and have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. You work systematically, organized, and methodically. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
