Ekeby Home Care is a municipal home care service that operates in a large geographical area stretching from the countryside in Vänge, through Stenhagen, Flogsta, Rackarberget to Kåbo. We have bicycles, cars, and mopeds to assist us. We are about 80 employees divided into two areas, Ekeby and Stenhagen, based on geography. Within the groups, there are smaller teams, thus creating a good working environment and continuity for our users. The unit has an administration consisting of two operational managers, one coordinator, and two planners.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will be part of a team that strives for the best quality together. We assist the elderly in their homes with assignments from social workers and licensed personnel. Working in home care with us means independent work where you, as an employee, are a key person in the team around the user. Your Mission

As a nursing assistant, you will work with varied tasks. You have an important role as a primary care contact for our users, providing personal care and service interventions that make a difference in their daily lives. You work every day to provide good care with great consideration for the user's individual needs.

You will also perform tasks delegated by licensed personnel and document according to the Social Services Act. Our ambition is for you to develop the business and yourself in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Working Hours

The working hours are on a rolling schedule with both morning shifts (07:00–16:00) and evening shifts (13:00–22:00), as well as work every other weekend.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You are used to documenting and working in digital systems, and you feel comfortable cycling in all weather. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the elderly in home care or similar services and performing health and medical care interventions by delegation.

As a person, you take responsibility for your work and drive it forward with a focus on results. You collaborate well with others and have a responsive and flexible approach. Your demeanor is calm, attentive, and service-oriented, and you have a good ability to structure, plan, and prioritize your tasks.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is protected. To use the title nursing assistant, you need to provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have nursing assistant training but lack proof or certification, you may be granted the title of care assistant during a transition period.
