Our Operations

Welcome to Sweden's hottest workplace, the Burn Center in Uppsala! Just below the helicopter pad, we operate one of the country's two units with national highly specialized care (NHV) for severe burns. Here, we work in interdisciplinary teams, always with the patient in focus. We care for burn patients of all ages from the acute stage, requiring advanced intensive care and surgery to intermediate care and finally rehabilitation before the patient is discharged. This provides continuity in care and close contact with patients and relatives. The department has an operating room where our patients are operated on. Our operations are complemented by a clinic where we treat minor injuries and care for patients discharged from the department. Your Mission

The assignment is 100% daytime and is scheduled Monday to Friday. In the role of anesthesia nurse at the burn center, you will, in consultation with the anesthesiologist, allocate outpatient and inpatient patients and independently sedate during major dressings of severely ill patients, both adults and children. In other words, you are responsible for planning and ensuring premedication, pain relief, and sedation in connection with dressings at the burn clinic or elsewhere within the burn center. You provide and engage in pre- and postoperative information regarding pain, pain relief, and sedation to patients, parents, and relatives at the burn center. Work is ongoing where you, as the anesthesia nurse, will sedate in the Burn Center's operating room. We expect you to stay informed about, participate in, and contribute to ongoing research, development, and quality work and help develop patient safety work and routines.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nurse with specialized training in anesthesia. Pediatric competence is an advantage but not a requirement. If you have a flexible and curious approach and also good collaboration skills, you are made for this position.
