Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Welcome to us at Gimo Health Center with branches!

We offer you, who have a medical license from a non-EU country, the opportunity to complete your practical training with us. You will carry out your practical training under supervision and receive an introduction to Swedish primary care combined with the training you need to achieve your goal - a Swedish medical license.

The employment is temporary and full-time. Start date is by agreement and only after you have received a special appointment from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You will conclude your temporary employment according to the recommended time from your decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Your qualifications

• Medical degree from a country outside the EU/EEA
• Passed theoretical and practical knowledge test for doctors with a degree from outside the EU/EEA.
• Language skills at Swedish level C1 or equivalent.
• Decision on practical training issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Your competence

Your ability to collaborate is good. You work well with other people, both colleagues and patients and relatives. You listen and communicate in a constructive way.

Our operations

Gimo Health Center with branches in Alunda and Österbybruk has about 12,000 registered patients. We are about 60 people working together at the different locations.

Gimo Health Center is centrally located in Gimo, 50 km northeast of Uppsala. Alunda DSK reception is temporary, and we are in the starting blocks to build a new health center in Alunda. It is 40 km from Uppsala. Österbybruk Health Center is a more family-oriented health center located 50 km from Uppsala.

We have a strong interest in education and research, especially for our own staff. With us, flexibility, interest in development, and providing residents with good service are valued. All professional areas within the health center's mission are represented, including youth reception.

From Gimo, it takes 17 minutes by car to reach the sea and Östhammar. There are good commuting options to our health centers by bus or car.
