Our Operations

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic for Adults belongs to the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry and is located in the Psychiatry House, Uppsala. The clinic is a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic with a mission to investigate neuropsychiatric issues and treat ADHD and Tourette's syndrome. The clinic always focuses on the patient and strives to be at the forefront of investigation and treatment of neuropsychiatric problems. In order to offer our patients the best possible care, development work is an obvious part of our work. We strive for a good and pleasant working environment and let technology facilitate both for employees and patients. This has resulted in low staff turnover and employees who are satisfied. We are now looking for an additional occupational therapist who has an interest in psychiatry and who wants to become part of our experienced team. Your main employment will be at the neuropsychiatric clinic for adults, but the employment will also include assisting the general psychiatric clinics in the Northern region (Tierp) and Håbo-Enköping with your occupational therapy skills and methods. These clinics have the task of investigating and treating several different psychiatric conditions, which offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in psychiatry and various patient groups. We offer flexible work with the possibility of some remote work.

Your Mission

Plan and conduct occupational therapy assessments/investigations, lead occupational therapy treatments, and prescribe aids. This work is largely carried out independently, but you will collaborate with the clinic's other occupational therapist and co-lead group treatments together. At the clinic, we are a small team with broad expertise who assist each other with knowledge, support, and discussions, where we always strive for an inclusive climate where we learn from each other and have open communication. Since the clinic aims to be at the forefront in both investigation and treatment, continuous development of both operations and methods occurs. Participation in various research projects may become relevant.

Your Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience or interest in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is engaged and responsible in your role. You should have good collaboration skills, flexibility, and be attentive. You can work independently but enjoy being part of a team. In the hiring process, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to ensure that our clinic becomes a good workplace for you.

We Offer

We offer a permanent position, 100%. Start date according to agreement. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).

The position entails high flexibility with the possibility of remote work by agreement with the manager and flexible hours within the framework agreement. Prior to employment, a check from the suspicion and criminal record register will be conducted. The position may be filled during the application period.

Region Uppsala places all permanently employed staff based on the needs of total defense. This means that for the individual employee, there are no obligations in peacetime but is solely a planning measure.

Checks against the suspicion and criminal record register will be conducted regarding all individuals that the employer intends to hire or engage for patient-related work, as they may work in psychiatric care, habilitation, care of children and youth, or involuntary care of substance abusers, areas that are covered by optional register extracts. This applies to all who will work closely with patients even if the tasks are not primarily intended to involve work with the aforementioned patient groups at this time.

This recruitment is conducted entirely through Region Uppsala's management. Therefore, we kindly ask for no phone calls from recruitment companies and ad sellers.
