Our Operations

Are you interested in cardiac care and want to learn more about arrhythmias? Then you are welcome to apply to us at the arrhythmia unit. We belong to the Department of Heart and Lung Diseases. The department is organized into four sections: cardiology, thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and clinical physiology, where highly specialized care, diagnostics, and treatment of heart and lung diseases are conducted.

At the arrhythmia unit, patients with various types of heart rhythm disorders are treated and operated on. The unit consists of two treatment/operating rooms, and each year we receive about 1100 patients. A large part of the operations consists of planned care.

We are a small, close-knit team consisting of 15 nurses, 2 nursing assistants, and 1 biomedical analyst, and we work closely with the unit's doctors. We believe it is important to have fun together in our daily work. An active employee engagement and the opportunity to develop with, for example, your own areas of responsibility, is a given for us. Your Mission

Ablation of atrial fibrillation and pacemaker implantation are examples of treatments and surgeries performed with us. The tasks mainly consist of monitoring the patient or assisting the doctor during these procedures, which are usually performed under local anesthesia. You will also help prepare materials for surgeries and treatments and prepare the patients. Since most of our procedures are performed with the help of X-rays, you will wear a radiation protection apron during parts of the workday.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is ready for a new challenge in an exciting field. You are a licensed nurse with a few years of experience in hospital care. You can work both independently and in a team with a varying pace of work. You are engaged, innovative, and positive about the development of the operations. Previous experience in cardiac care or specialized training in operating room nursing is considered an advantage.

We Offer

We can offer you a full-time position with a permanent employment contract. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply.
