Our Operations

The Psychosis Clinic B operates for individuals over 18 years old. The clinic has a special assignment regarding specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment, care, and rehabilitation for patients with schizophrenia or schizophrenia-like conditions. All patients are assigned a responsible physician and a coordinator (case manager). The clinic's working methods are based on the National Guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare for care and support in schizophrenia and schizophrenia-like conditions, with the aim that the patient, with support and help, can live as independently as possible. Patients at the clinic are offered, among other things, IMR (Illness Management and Recovery), interventions according to the psychiatric rehabilitation care program, social skills training, VOSS (care and support coordination), and health-promoting measures.

The work is team-based. Each team consists of psychologists, specialist physicians, specialist nurses in psychiatric care, nurses, caregivers, occupational therapists, and social workers. We collaborate with other care providers within the municipality and county, and we also offer support to relatives.

Your Mission

  • you have a central role in collaboration around complex care needs
  • you are the coordinator for a number of patients
  • you participate in, and have the opportunity to develop, group activities for the clinic's patients
  • you work with psychoeducation, medication follow-up, and counseling
  • you administer medications and sampling.

With us, you will work in a stable, well-functioning team that has extensive collective experience with the patient group and the clinic's mission. The Psychosis Clinic is explicitly development-oriented, and we plan training in the methods, instruments, and group treatments that are necessary according to needs.

Your Qualifications & Competence

We are looking for someone who is a specialist nurse in psychiatric care, or a general nurse with equivalent experience. Experience in psychiatry is an advantage. You also consider the social work environment important and enjoy having a pleasant workplace. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities. As a nurse, we expect that psychiatric care is always the focus, both in contact with the patient and relatives. The work is scheduled Monday to Friday during office hours without weekend duties. A driving license (B) is a requirement.

We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.

With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
