Our Operations

The specialized palliative care at Uppsala University Hospital is conducted at the Palliative Center, which consists of the Specialized Palliative Care Unit (SPVA), the department for specialized home care (ASH), and the Palliative Consultation Team (PKT). We need to expand our ASH team with several nurses. ASH cares for patients with various diagnoses and ages, including sometimes children, who need specialized palliative care in their own homes or in special accommodations.

Your Mission

As a nurse at ASH, you work in a multidisciplinary team together with other professionals caring for severely ill patients at home. You are primarily responsible for specific nursing care and specialized interventions, including advanced symptom relief such as infusions, injections, medication pumps, spinal pain relief, various drainage systems, and support for relatives.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. Preferably with a few years of experience, but even those with short experience and an interest in palliative care are welcome to apply. It is advantageous if you have further education in palliative care or experience in palliative care, but it is not a requirement. A B driver's license is a requirement.

Your Competence

We appreciate good collaboration skills, independence, flexibility, and quality-conscious work. You should also be structured, communicative, stress-resistant, and enjoy working in a team. Personal suitability is highly valued.
