The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is a regional clinic with outpatient units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The clinic also includes a BUP inpatient unit located in Umeå. BUP Västerbotten is a USVE unit with close collaboration with universities and research. Within the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and the work is done in close cooperation with the patient’s family and other networks.

The outpatient clinic in Skellefteå is located in Ursviken and operates in fresh and beautiful premises. These positions can be filled at any outpatient clinic within our regional clinic, i.e., Skellefteå, Lycksele, or Umeå.

We are looking for a licensed psychologist for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Västerbotten, five positions with a fixed term of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. The psychologist role at BUP means working independently and in a team with the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents requiring care at a specialized child psychiatric level. In your work, you will meet and treat children and adolescents with more severe psychiatric conditions.

As a psychologist, you will work with evidence-based methods according to current guidelines. You will independently plan, implement, and evaluate your treatment interventions. You will also participate in teamwork and collaborate with colleagues as needed. This position will primarily involve assessment and investigation and is a targeted reinforcement to meet our children and adolescents in Västerbotten. Assessments may also involve children and adolescents in inpatient care.

Your work with us also involves consulting and collaborating with schools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare. A job that enables and creates conditions to see the patient from a holistic perspective.

As we are a regional clinic, travel to other units may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with assessment and investigation, training in ADOS and/or ADI-R is advantageous. You have an interest in working in a structured and evidence-based manner.

You are a confident and structured person with a professional approach. You are responsible and adaptable to changing circumstances. Since we work a lot in teams, we see that you enjoy collaborating and being there for both colleagues and patients.
