Matfors School is located in the center of idyllic Matfors, and our operations encompass preschool class to grade nine. The school has about 600 students and an after-school program with about 170 students. The school has a great working climate where we care about having a good reception and taking care of each other. We believe in clear, pedagogical leadership, an accessible learning environment, and differentiated instruction to create the best conditions for students' learning. We conduct a thoughtful systematic quality work with the goal of preventing pedagogical obstacles in school life as well as promoting the health and learning of students.
The after-school program is a significant complement to both the school's scheduled time and to society at large. By offering students varied teaching with activity, learning, and rest, the after-school program provides students with the conditions to develop important skills such as creativity and movement. So important in our world where social media is mostly in focus!

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher in the after-school program, your main task is to plan, implement, and follow up on the after-school program's activities based on the school's governing documents. Together with your team, you drive and develop the pedagogical activities for the benefit of the student at the individual, group, and organizational levels. During scheduled time, you have planning time and are involved in recess activities as well as having another specific task, such as being a resource in lessons or responsible for recess activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Primarily, we are looking for someone who is qualified for the after-school program by being an educated teacher in the after-school program or a leisure educator. You are also welcome to apply if you have another equivalent pedagogical education or have experience working in after-school programs.
You show great commitment to the after-school program's activities and have a good ability to plan thoughtful and enjoyable teaching. You are keen to develop the activities so that they become accessible to all students. You have experience meeting students who need both extra adjustments and challenges.
You have the ability to see and reinforce the positive in students. You are flexible and secure in yourself. You have good collaborative skills, are solution-focused, see opportunities instead of obstacles, take initiatives, and create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
