Social Worker for Children and Youth

Are you an engaged and driven person who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are currently seeking new colleagues for our team in Children and Youth.

At the Investigation for Children and Youth, we work to make a difference in the lives of children and young people, always with their best interests in focus. Children and youth are part of the Individual and Family Care (IFO), and we work in four smaller teams, where you will receive close support from 12 social workers, 2 team leaders, and an engaged unit manager. Here, you will have close leadership and the opportunity to truly make an impact.

We offer you, as a new employee, a well-structured introduction and training in BBIC and Signs of Safety. Additionally, we have a competence team that keeps us updated with the latest research and ensures that we continuously develop through ongoing training. Our office is located in Jakobsberg, just 19 minutes from Stockholm Central, making commuting easy. Moreover, our internal outpatient care is right next door, creating close collaboration and making work smooth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will be responsible for authority exercise, investigation, and follow-up of interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 years and their families. You will work from a systemic perspective, focusing on identifying the family's and network's strengths, resources, and risks. An important part of your work is to listen to the families' own solutions, with a particular focus on the children's experiences, and to follow up that the interventions implemented truly contribute to positive change. The participation of the child and youth is fundamental, and as a social worker, a significant part of your mission will be to build relationships and motivate positive change to find individual solutions that make a difference in the lives of children and families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formally, you need to have:

  • A degree in social work
  • Experience working in social services and authority exercise focusing on children and youth
  • Good knowledge of BBIC and Signs of Safety (meritorious)

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to:

  • Work in a structured manner. You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
  • Be stable. You are secure and balanced even in stressful or challenging situations.
  • Collaborate. You enjoy working together with others, are attentive, and contribute to good cooperation.

You are also self-driven and have the ability to understand other people's perspectives or situations without losing yourself in others' emotions, and you understand the role of an authority figure. A driver's license (B) is meritorious.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
