As an IT Service Desk Technician at Hemtex, you will be an important part of the Nordic IT department. You will be responsible for internal support and assist employees in offices, warehouses, and stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia. In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally closely with the IT manager and the business, and you will be involved in ongoing business development.

Examples of job responsibilities:

  • Receive internal support requests via phone and ticketing system
  • Manage daily system support for employees and stores
  • Technical maintenance and troubleshooting of clients and peripherals
  • Actively work on preventive measures to avoid recurring problems
  • Administrative work in Active Directory, business systems, and POS
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of network and IT equipment issues, as well as operational disruptions
  • Handling the opening, relocation, and closing of stores as well as new hires
  • Installation of computers and software and support for these
  • Contact with suppliers

This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at Hemtex. The assignment lasts for 6 months with the possibility of extension or potential internal employment with the client after the period ends. Working hours are during office hours, but on-call duty may occur according to an on-call schedule. You are expected to be able to start on June 1 or earlier and will be based at the office in Viared.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has about 2 years of experience in IT Service Desk and customer service
  • Has IT technical knowledge in hardware and software
  • Has experience working with both complex and simpler IT-related tasks within the organization, requiring the ability to handle different levels of technical challenges
  • Has a valid driver's license (B)
  • Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English

It is a plus if you:

  • Master Norwegian
  • Have previous experience working in retail
