Then you are the one we are looking for to join our client's purchasing department in Hisingen.

About the position

As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for driving and developing the purchasing process, focusing on cost reduction, supplier development, and finding effective business arrangements. You will participate in development projects and lead supplier negotiations and contract negotiations.

An important part of the role involves building and nurturing business relationships, optimizing the supplier portfolio, and ensuring that products and services are cost-effective and correctly set up in the company's ERP system. You will also work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that the purchasing strategy supports the business goals. Below are some of the tasks that will be on your plate.

• Participate in and perform purchasing assignments in development projects.
• Drive supplier development according to set goals in the Business Plan.
• Develop forecasts and improve the forecasting process.
• Streamline and develop the purchasing flow together with suppliers.
• Negotiate and establish contracts on behalf of the company.
• Gather and compile quotes as needed.
• Lead projects in cross-functional groups.
• Manage the operational purchasing process for a few key suppliers.

We are looking for you who

Have a background in purchasing, logistics, or production, where you have a relevant education at the master's level in engineering or business economics, and have worked for a couple of years with purchasing in the industry.

You have documented good negotiation skills and a strong business sense, with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with suppliers. You are used to working with ERP systems and have a good understanding of forecasting processes and project-based work. Furthermore, you are a person driven by achieving results and improving processes, with a strong analytical ability and a structured approach.

For this role, fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required, as well as good knowledge of Excel. If you have previously worked with technical purchasing where electronic components have been part of your portfolio, it is a strong merit.

About the employment

This is a consulting assignment where you will initially be employed by OIO. The idea is that the employment will transition to a position with our client after 9 months, provided that both parties are satisfied with the collaboration.
