After School Educator/Teacher for Leisure Center

At Mariedal School, there are 5 leisure centers distributed across grades F-1 and grades 2 and 3. Here, you will work in a good team with knowledgeable and educated educators. We work with a language-developing and knowledge-developing approach. We are a school with a multicultural catchment area, which means we also work with clarifying pedagogy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work in one of our 5 departments as an after school educator/teacher together with 2-3 other staff members. Working hours are primarily in the afternoon.

As an after school educator, you understand that students develop and learn throughout the day, and you challenge each student's learning based on their age, maturity, needs, and interests. You are responsible for preventing physical ill health among students through creativity, movement, play, recreation, and rest, and together with students, guardians, colleagues, and principals, you work to meet each student in their development.

In your pedagogical leadership, you have the ability to structure your work, are responsive to students' knowledge development and support needs, and recognize the importance of working collegially towards common goals and visions in the development and improvement work of the leisure center and school.

You test and re-evaluate methods, reflect on your assignment based on scientific principles and an understanding of proven experience, and have an inclusive approach to meet all students and provide equal opportunities for knowledge and learning. Your attitude is to meet, support, and challenge students in their development, and you work with an inclusive view of students. You work with student influence as a foundation in planning the activities.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in the leisure center with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the leisure center's activities based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications for teaching in the leisure center. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day and create a red thread between school and leisure center.

As a leisure center teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific principles with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we have a responsibility to create a sustainable working environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
