Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock by competent and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. We have about 2,600 employees at the hospital. The orthopedic unit (VO) within the Hässleholm hospital administration operates at the hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad.

The orthopedic department 83/84 is at the forefront of care development and patient consideration. Work on our department is varied, with no two days being the same. As a nurse, you will be challenged and developed by a variety of tasks, including both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation. In a multidisciplinary team, you will work together with the patient and other professionals to create the best conditions for person-centered care. We focus on the patient, and to make this possible, we strive to reduce the number of patients per nurse. In addition, professional development and education are prioritized.

We have both a training nurse and a training assistant nurse assigned to our department, whose tasks are to identify professional development needs and plan, implement, and follow up on professional development for nurses and assistant nurses. They also provide guidance in complex care situations and serve as an experienced colleague who is always available. They also organize structured reflection within the professional groups, allowing colleagues to reflect on topics related to the profession. The training nurse will be with you throughout your introduction and further during your work on the department! We also have clinical training rooms (KUS), which support a good learning environment. Our students are our future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome two nurses to our department.

The orthopedic operations at CSK include emergency surgeries, outpatient services, and inpatient care. The positions involve rotating shifts during the day, evening, and night, with significant opportunities for night shifts only. Weekend work is included, two out of five weekends. The department applies a wish schedule.

We aim to create a working method that benefits both patients and staff. Therefore, we focus on the medical and nursing needs of the patient, which means that team divisions are based on patient needs and staff experience. You will be responsible for the nursing tasks that occur in an operating emergency care unit. Many patients treated here also have internal medical conditions, which means you will develop a broad competence. In addition to direct patient work, all staff members are involved in developing and improving the care of our patients.

Regarding formal requirements, you must be a licensed nurse authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare.
