Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced production planner to strengthen our team. As a Production Planner at ABB Large Motors and Generators, you will hold a central position. Together with your colleagues, you will be key to ensuring efficient production through careful planning and coordination. Your work will be crucial in delivering on time to our customers and maintaining high delivery reliability. You will report to the planning manager and contribute to driving our production operations forward.

This role involves coordinating and planning the production of rotor manufacturing for all ABB-produced machines. You will work closely with the production leader and act as a requirements setter for all sections of rotor production to ensure that production meets set goals and that we fulfill the customer's ordered requirements and agreed timelines. You will also liaise with strategic suppliers regarding rotor materials and outsourcing certain processing. With this, you will become an important part of the investigation work to ensure accurate analyses are conducted and conclusions drawn to determine which projects/rotors should be externally processed.

This entails continuous collaboration and development work with production to ensure customer wishes are met.

This includes, among other things:

• Creating and managing detailed production strategies to optimize resource use and ensure that production requirements and set delivery dates are met.
• Establishing the sequence and lead time to meet needs and delivery times throughout the production process, in accordance with our overall plan.
• Monitoring outcomes against the plan and identifying root causes of any deviations and implementing appropriate improvements.
• Collaborating closely with production management to effectively communicate any challenges regarding production capacity and provide detailed information on material availability.

Qualifications for the role

• We prefer that you either have a vocational degree or a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, or more than five years of work experience in similar fields.
• Experience in production planning is an advantage.
• We value a strong ability to identify and solve problems professionally (e.g., production data, forecasts, bottlenecks, capacity planning, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
• It is valuable if you can adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with calm and skill, even under pressure.
• You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of Excel is a requirement, while good knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
