Experienced Mechanical Designer for Akkodis!
Are you an experienced mechanical designer with an interest in advanced technology and high-pressure systems? Do you want to work with innovative solutions in metal forming and material compression? Then this assignment might be for you!
About the Assignment
We are looking for a mechanical designer for an interesting consulting assignment with one of our clients in Västerås. The company is a world leader in high-pressure technology and develops products used in the aerospace and automotive industries, medical technology, and the energy sector.
In this role, you will work on the design and development of high-pressure presses and associated mechanical systems. You will be part of a knowledgeable team that works on both the further development of existing products and customer adaptations.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of pressure vessels, frameworks, and piping systems
- Dimensioning and material selection for high-pressure components
- 3D modeling and drawing preparation
- Documentation according to applicable standards and directives
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or equivalent
- Experience in mechanical design, preferably in high-pressure systems, hydraulics, or pressure vessels
- Knowledge of CAD tools, preferably NX
- Understanding of material properties, strength, and FEM analysis
- Experience working according to ASME, PED, or other pressure vessel standards is a plus
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
