About us:

In Stockholm County, there are 30 youth clinics operated in collaboration between municipalities and the Stockholm County Healthcare Area, which is responsible for the medical part of the operations.

The overarching mission of the youth clinics is to promote sexual and reproductive health and to prevent and detect mental health issues and social problems among young people aged 12 to 23. We work health-promoting from a holistic perspective.

Salem's youth clinic is a smaller clinic located in the center of Salem. At the clinic, there is 1 midwife and 2 social workers with shared positions, as well as 2 unit managers. We primarily work with individual visits, but an important part of the work is also to conduct outreach work, such as receiving continuous study visits from local schools and collaborating with other organizations. At times, we also have group activities. We are a low-threshold service and always strive for high accessibility. We are open 3 days a week, including one evening until 19:00. Norm awareness and diversity are important to us; all young people and all employees should feel equally welcome.
