Research Nurse for EU-Funded Projects

Are you passionate about groundbreaking research studies in medicine? Then this is a unique opportunity for you! We are looking for a dedicated and experienced research nurse to work on exciting EU-funded research projects.

You will be offered

As a research nurse, you will play a central role in ensuring that clinical studies are conducted with high quality. Research studies in the unit are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). You will be responsible for coordinating several research studies simultaneously and will be the primary contact for study participants and their relatives. Your work will include planning and executing studies according to study protocols, performing clinical tasks such as examinations, sample collections, and cognitive tests, as well as ensuring that ethical guidelines and patient safety are adhered to.

You will coordinate the clinical and research-related aspects to ensure smooth visits, be responsible for data entry and compilation of results, and inform and educate research participants. The work will also involve collaboration with researchers from several EU countries, participation in international conferences, and administrative tasks such as funding applications, reporting project results, and budget follow-up.

Adjacent to the unit is Miia Kivipeltos' research group, which belongs to the Section of Clinical Geriatrics at the Center for Alzheimer Research at Karolinska Institute.

We are looking for someone who

  • understands and applies guidelines for clinical studies, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and can produce high-quality documentation
  • takes responsibility for planning, executing, and coordinating research studies and structures and drives the work forward
  • sees the big picture in research projects and considers both the needs of study participants and the goals of the organization in your decisions
  • collaborates well with researchers, study participants, and other team members and communicates clearly and attentively in both national and international contexts
  • is flexible and unpretentious in your work and can adapt to changing conditions while ensuring high quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a nurse
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as we collaborate in multinational projects.

Meritorious:

  • Previous experience as a research nurse and/or research work
  • Completed research nurse training at KTA
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing for healthy lifestyle habits
  • Previous experience with GCP
  • Good knowledge of the office suite.
