The Social Administration is responsible for municipal care and support services managed in-house. In-house, there are 12 operations within elderly care and support and service for certain disabled individuals. Within our nursing homes, care work and services are tailored to the individual needs of the residents with the goal of improving quality of life and encouraging a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Here live individuals with extensive needs requiring care and support around the clock. Within LSS, there are group homes, service housing, daily activities, and personal assistance where guidance, respite, and contact persons are included. The operations are located throughout the municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of occupational therapist, you will work for 2 of our 4 care and nursing homes: Stocksundsgården and Klingsta. Our homes are somatic and dementia-focused with adaptations to the residents' needs. With us, you will have a varied assignment where you are an important piece in shaping a meaningful and active daily life for the residents.

Your main area of responsibility will be for assessment and training of ADL abilities, assessment, prescription, testing, and continuous follow-up of ADL aids as well as cognitive aids. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team around the residents to support functional maintenance approaches. Together with the physiotherapist, you will be responsible for everyday rehabilitation for the residents, adapting the living environment based on individual needs, interests, and abilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and leading group activities based on the residents' interests and needs, as well as guiding care staff in residents' activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed occupational therapist
• has experience working in elderly care
• has good knowledge of current legislation, such as HSL, SoL, and LSS
• has basic computer skills and documentation experience
• master the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you:

• have several years of experience in the role of occupational therapist
• have previous experience with documentation in Treserva
• have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as Danderyd Municipality strives for high vaccination coverage from a patient safety and quality perspective
