The University Clinic Psychiatry Southwest is driven by the vision of providing the best psychiatric care in Sweden. We are part of SLSO psychiatry and have extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institute. The clinic is characterized by research, innovation, and continuous development. Psychiatry Southwest is located in Flemingsberg at Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge.
We are looking for a specialist in psychiatry who wants to work within our inpatient care unit with the opportunity to build strong acute psychiatric competence in this flexible role.
You will be part of a team with 8 medically responsible physicians (MLA) working across 7 departments and also responsible for the Emergency Reception and the Brain Stimulation Unit. In the inpatient care unit, there are also day backup and LPT consultants as part of the specialist physician team. In this position, you will closely collaborate with the day backup and LPT consultant and serve as a reinforcing resource in the inpatient care departments. You will also mentor our skilled ST physicians and other doctors in training. Currently, we have a fully staffed, pleasant, and highly competent workgroup and are looking for reinforcement for the group described above. We currently have a fantastic team of unit managers and medically responsible physicians where collaboration and a sense of togetherness are fundamental.
The work offers the opportunity for varied tasks in a dynamic role where the position will be shaped together with you. The days start in the physician team based at our emergency reception.
Qualifications
Specialist in psychiatry with an interest in acute psychiatry. You enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and like to mentor younger colleagues, appreciate variation in work and an acute psychiatric pace. As a specialist at the clinic, you will join our backup line after orientation. Personal qualities are highly valued.

- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
