About us

S:t Eriks Eye Hospital provides highly specialized eye care with its own anesthesia clinic, receiving patients from all over the country. We have the advantages of a small hospital with short contact and decision-making paths. The clinic consists of 3 units: surgery, day surgery, and anesthesia including postop/UVA. Annually, the clinic performs 3000 anesthesias, including 500 pediatric anesthesias and 5000 eye surgeries under local anesthesia. The patient clientele spans all ages from 1 year and up.

The anesthesia and surgery clinic became an independent clinic in 2020, which, along with the move to the newly built premises next to Nya Karolinska, has given us great opportunities to renew work methods and routines. Several exciting development projects have been initiated, including a focus on the child perspective, such as a reception for individualized sedation in connection with diagnostic examinations.

About the position

Standard tasks for anesthesia related to surgery in both outpatient and inpatient care. The position includes limited on-call work in the evenings and weekends. The clinic's mission also includes supervision of residents with a focus on pediatric anesthesia.

Qualifications

You are a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care, have an interest in pediatric anesthesia, and possess the drive and commitment for development work. Previous experience in pediatric anesthesia is an advantage but not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is curious and wants to try new working methods, brings new ideas, and wants to introduce new knowledge into the organization.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment, but there is an option to work part-time if desired, and the position includes on-call duty. A six-month probationary period may be applicable.

Start date by agreement.
