Your Role

Do you want to help further develop the world's leading command systems? We are currently looking for Environmental Engineers in Surveillance and Naval Combat Systems!

Our products are used on vehicles and marine platforms, such as surface ships and submarines, and are designed to compile information from sensors, data links, and weapon systems to give the operator the best opportunity to make the right decisions. We deliver to customers both in Sweden and abroad and now need to expand as our systems are increasingly in demand.

With us, you will primarily work within our development and delivery projects with exciting technology in advanced systems. You will be involved in all phases of the projects from initial requirements analysis through development, production, maintenance to decommissioning. You will also have numerous contacts with both internal and external parties and participate in various networks and forums.

As an environmental engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that a project's requirements regarding environment and materials are met. Furthermore, you need to be able to interpret legislation related to environmental compliance and assist internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers in meeting these requirements. You will work closely with many of the different sections within our design department as well as with other stakeholders within our organization. The many points of contact make this position both flexible and stimulating.

The work primarily involves:

Interpreting and working with compliance regarding environmental and material issues in projects.
Being knowledgeable about and implementing legal requirements so that the organization and external suppliers meet them.
During the development phase, following the system through development, integration, and verification.
Supporting designers and project management in matters concerning environmental compliance.

Your Profile

You are likely a civil or university engineer with a suitable focus and have worked for a few years with environmental and possibly material issues.

We are looking for both more experienced engineers and those with a few years of experience as engineers. To succeed in the role, we see that you are structured, enjoy thinking analytically, strategically, and commercially. You also need to work well in teams and have good networking skills.

Necessary Skills:

Civil or university engineer or equivalent.
Experience in product development.
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

The workplace is in Järfälla, and there may be travel involved in the position. In the autumn of 2025, the operations will move to Solna, which will be the new workplace.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
