Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four emergency hospitals and operates in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm. The surgical area (VO) conducts surgical activities in both inpatient and outpatient care at Helsingborg Hospital and Ängelholm Hospital. The surgical VO includes sections for upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, emergency surgery, vascular surgery, as well as breast and melanoma surgery.

With us, doctors, nurses, stoma therapists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work with a broad scope within both emergency and planned surgical operations, education, and research. There is a high level of research activity and organized research and development work, focusing on the education of all staff categories.

Kava is under construction, and our goal is to eventually open up to 18 to 22 beds. Kava receives patients at all hours of the day, mostly from the emergency department, and primarily cares for patients with surgical diseases. Our goal is to offer you high-quality care, meet your need for security in care, respect your integrity, and carry out care in collaboration with you. The most common reasons for being acutely admitted to Kava are abdominal pain and various abdominal conditions, concussions, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, and accidents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will primarily work with acute care, but also with preoperative preparations and postoperative care. In addition to direct patient work, you will be involved in development and improvement work. As a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction. If you are new to your role as a nurse, we also offer participation in a clinical foundation year, which is an introductory program for newly graduated nurses.

As the department is under construction, there is a great opportunity for you as an employee to contribute to shaping the operation and your role.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and nights. Weekend work occurs two out of five weekends. We use the scheduling program TimeCare.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. We would like you to have worked a couple of years as a nurse in inpatient care. Since we extensively use IT support to facilitate care and free up time for personal meetings, it is an advantage if you have experience working in various operational systems.

As a person, you thrive and function well working in a team with colleagues from both your own and other professions. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions while having a desire and ability to help others. We see that you can adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining calm.
