Skogsängen is located close to nature in Östermalm, near Södra Älvsborg Hospital. Our current areas of development focus on play-responsive teaching, and we work towards a pedagogy adapted to each child's interests and conditions. We have a hearing department, a resource department for children with multiple disabilities, and five additional younger and older children's departments. We are now looking for a preschool teacher for our resource department Mini.

At Skogsängen Preschool, there are great opportunities to utilize our creative environments to create good conditions for children's development and learning. We actively work with our learning environments both indoors and outdoors.

Each department consists of three separate rooms, with access to a shared square. We also have a water room, carpentry, an atelier, and a small library.

The preschool borders the forest, and outside there are two large and one smaller playground with different themes and appearances. A school forest with a barbecue area and play opportunities is in close proximity to the preschool, and a 4H farm is nearby. We make good use of the proximity to nature.

Job Responsibilities

Due to a colleague's relocation to a new city, we are looking for a preschool teacher for our resource department Skogsängen Mini.

In our resource department, your responsibilities will be to work with the team to create the best conditions for children's development and learning in preschool. We hope that you want to actively promote children's ability to participate and influence their education by recognizing and meeting their perceptions, opinions, and needs.

At Skogsängen Preschool, you need to have an interest in and preferably competence in sign language or signs as alternative communication, to communicate with children in all departments. When working in our resource department, you may use materials such as wheelchairs, standing aids, lifts, or orthoses based on the children's support needs during the workday.

As a preschool teacher with us, you will be responsible, together with the team, for planning and implementing the teaching. You will use documentation as a method to follow up, analyze, and evaluate the results from the planned teaching. The analysis will then form the basis for developing the operations based on the preschool curriculum and the prioritized goals of the operations.

You will have pedagogical development time included in your schedule for reflection within the team, documentation, collegial learning, and individual planning.

Additional Information

Within the Preschool Administration, we offer free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you will also have an average of five hours of planning time per week. We also provide a trained mentor if you are new to the profession, as well as opportunities for further education and collegial learning. Qualifications

We primarily seek licensed preschool teachers. For the position in our resource department, experience or education in nursing is an asset, and we expect that you have an interest in working with children with multiple disabilities.

Knowledge of and experience with ASD and alternative communication, sign language, or Tassels is advantageous.
