I am a playful 14-year-old boy living with my family in Ellös on Orust. I need a new assistant and I would love to have someone who still has a childlike spirit, is creative, positive, and can help me with everything that comes up in my daily life.

With me, it’s usually full speed ahead, and I love playing with my siblings, being tickled, jumping on the trampoline, swimming, watching Star Wars, going on outings, and taking walks in my wheelchair with our dogs. In the summer, the most fun thing is to swim, both in our pool at home and at the beach, which is just a 10-minute walk from where I live.

I have a cognitive disability, autism, and ADHD, with silent seizures. I do not speak with words or walk independently. I also need help with eating; I receive food via PEG and eat regular meals with your assistance. Additionally, I need your help with going to the bathroom, taking my medication, getting dressed, and keeping my room tidy.

For me, it doesn’t matter much how old you are, but you need to be a stable and mentally strong person with a high work ethic. You are a responsible adult who is also my fun playmate. If you have worked with children with autism and other disabilities before, that’s a plus, but it’s not a requirement.

If you have also worked as a personal assistant for children before, that’s an even bigger plus because you already know what it’s like to work in a family with all that it entails. You must not be allergic or afraid of dogs, and we would be especially happy if you like animals since our dogs and cats are a big part of our family.

To be able to get to the workplace, you need to have a driver’s license and a car, as public transport to the client’s home is very limited.

Working hours/Duration: Summer 100% from 13/6 to 18/8.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage by agreement.

Other compensation according to collective agreement.

Start date: 13/6, but it’s good if you can start earlier as a temporary worker.

We conduct background checks and require an extract from the criminal record.
